The beets!

With this Spring’s days getting warmer and summertime about to hit us soon, scrumptious and healthy salads are the order of the day!
They make for the perfect nifty lunchtime meal, are a great side dish to your braai or dinner menus. Use only the freshest of ingredients.
We’ve given you the recipe for our beetroot salad below, you should try it, it’s really good🤗

Beetroot salad 


4 medium beets 

2 tablespoon lemon juice

2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 

2 tablespoon olive oil 

2 teaspoon brown sugar 

Salt and Black pepper




1. Place beets in saucepan, pour water into the pan to cover the beets and bring to a boil. Once the water starts to boil, turn the heat to low and simmer until beets are tender when pierced with a fork, about 45 minutes.
2. Cool, peel, and cut beets into bite-size pieces. The skin peels off easily while beets are still warm.
3. Place in a serving bowl.
Place lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, salt and pepper to taste in a small bowl. Whisk in olive oil, then toss with beets. Let sit a few hours. Just before serving, sprinkle with parsley.
